When deciding on the direction for my version the Market Coffee app I knew that I wanted the design to be playful, retro, soft, and inviting. In my research I found that many coffee and food ordering apps have a very cold and sterile feel to them, as they are often associated with large corporations or restaurant chains.
With this in mind I decided that a fun, playful, and quirky brand identity would help Market Coffee stand out as a small independent coffee shop and establish the brand as a cool and unique alternative to larger corporate coffee shops.
